    Queen of disco???
Well now there's a good question.... They both are tops as far as I'm concerned. They both have great songs, with a lot that bring back great memories of the 70's and 80's.
Sylvester's "Dance {disco heat}", and "Don't stop" are disco classics, just to name a few. And Donna... well she's got classics galore..."Bad girls" and "Love to love you baby". So I guess it's the way you should ask it.
    Queen of DISCO...Donna
QUEEN of disco...Sylvester..and I say that with love..because Sylvester was a true artist, and the world lost a great performer when he passed away.

    Donna!!!!!!!!!

I've been in Love with her for almost 30 years!
Sitting in my TV room with a drink, a cigar and Donna on my CD player are 3 of those pleasures that make life so enjoyable!

As we grow old I hope I croak before she, because I cannot imagine the world without her voice!

I loved Sylvester too, but there is just something about Donna!

Donna will always be the Queen Of Disco and one of the best voices that this world has ever heard. I never get tired of her music.

I heard she is a grandmother now.

Of course, Her Royal Highness Miss Summer.

Being blessed with a gorgeously expressive voice ( runs the gamut from a sexy little girl whisper to a pretty pop sound to a High-NRG wail to a gospel growl) and the ability to write lyrics---AND blessed with the opportunity to partner with the brilliant musical genius of GIORGIO MORODER--
no one turned out more memorable music from the Disco Era, IMHO. :D

Donna is a grandmother, been married to the same guy for twenty three years (lucky man that he is!) and will be 55 December 31!

I have vague memories of Donna playing the colleges in my home town during the mid 60's ('66-'67) with her first band. Didn't see her though. Even then then she was known as a good vocalist.

I was a kid in high school in those days.

Finest American female singer since Aretha as far as I'm concerned :D

Donna Summer will always be the Queen Of Disco!! Not only was she versatile in vocal and song selections, but she was perhaps the only singer of that genre to emerge after the end of disco's brief dominance in the late 70's and have more popular records.

She is One of a Kind!! :D

Donna HAS gotten better with age :D

I own the "Live and More Encore" DVD from her '99 VH-1 concert and her performance is truly great!
She can sing to me anytime :D

It is such a pleasure to listen to her music in 5.1 digital surround (better sound quality than a CD)!

Donna: I beg you; give us more concerts on DVD!!!!!

    Donna or Sylvester?

I love them both. Donna is better. Her tunedex runs deeper. She has more great songs, so I can listen and dance to Donna longer.

I love Sylvester, but I think Village People are better than Sylvester. Another song that will get me to the dance floor quickly is San Francisco, my favorite Village People song.

The Village People could take a song and make it into a celebration. Example-Macho Man/I Am What I Am and SanFrancisco/Hollywood. Their songs were intense and they would go on and on with strong intensity.

    So difficult...
Donna Summer because she recorded a song written by Merria Ross and Merria Ross was the songwriter of a wonderful disco song called "Let's Get It Together" by El Coco. The song that I'm talking about is just "Love Is In Control (Finger On The Trigger)" (Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton, Merria Ross), 1982, with a great vocoder.
Just an astonising reason  . :)

    Village People? and Sylvester? :-?
hhmmmm... I love the Village People too, but they're a group of guys. Sylvester is a single voice with talent as is Donna. I'd say as groups go, Village People are tops for me and have some super classic disco songs. Their songs bring back great memories. Hearing their music makes those days of disco come to life, as does Donna and Sylvester. I'd say if you want to have Village People at the top of a list you need to ask.....What group is the best...maybe "The QUEENS" of disco??? :D

    Speaking of The Village People...

I read somewhere that Brit Pop star....and always plagued by gay rumors & vaguely non-commital about his sexuality--Robbie Williams

wants to play VP Cowboy Randy Jones in a movie about the VPs that's in the planning stages. He even put up some $ to secure the rights.
