Apologies for kicking off my first ever Disco Music forum post with a shameless promotion but I just wanted to let you guys know that we have 4 new Disco Discharge releases coming up over the next 6 weeks. I'll do a decent introduction post as soon as I can get a minute! Some of you may well know me from my many compilations over the previous 36 years - Upfront, Mastercuts, Deep Beats, Salsoul etc, etc. Anyway more later. You're welcome Bernie, although the compiling and conception are very much down to Mr Pinks (aka David Akerman). The series pretty much fell into my lap when I took over Harmless. David has the single-minded kind of conviction about this music that is essential if you want to sustain a series. It always helps if you live eat and breath the music as David does.

Also thanks for sustaining this forum! It's always great to know that there's so many ther people around the world who appreciate this music.

I think that's the first time Chuck Cissel's 'Cisselin' Hot' has appeared on CD. Looks like I'm gonna have to get this latest one too even though I have most of the other tracks on CD & vinyl - I'm such a disco junkie.

Disco Fever USA, the first release of the next four DD's is out this Monday 24th January folks! I'm happy to say we've just had the biggest pre-sell in the series' history which is pretty encouraging considering the dire state of the music biz and the overall economy.

Maybe people need cheering up with some zippy Disco! The magic formula in a worldwide recession maybe?
