    DJ Jimmy M,

Well I listened to an incomplete download of part 2 of "Disco Extravaganza"!!!!

I tried to d/l all 4--but something f'ed up.

    Anyway, congrats on this. :D

You captured the Troc long-night's journey into morning very well. :D

I heard "Nice & Slow," "Give Me Your Love," "Quiet Village," Take a Chance," and "I Don't Wanna Be A Freak" and was truly transported back to the day!!! :D After that, I kinda lost it. What the hell was that "Muppet Show" song #8????!!!! (sounded like Ernie or Elmo--made Dennis LePage sound like Sinatra!!!) :P

My d/l stopped after the next song.... something about "In LA, at the end of the day"....

Don't mean to criticize (to each his own, that's my philosophy!!) :P ....I woulda danced in BLISS through the first 5!!!!

I'm attempting to d/l more, so you know I'll be back!!!!

    Good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

WOW I didnt even intend to do a Troc morning set on that program LOL, it was all grab records as I come accross em and go. The Morning Set dedicated to the Troc and that whole scene is coming tonight! There are only 2 programs to the show, your downloading lower and higher quality versions so you must have gotton both shows in some format I think? Everyone grab the previous week's show ASAP if you havent already as they are going to be dead in about 3 hours or so and the new ones will be replacing them. And let me check the show Marky and i'll let ya know what these songs were you were askin about lol. I did pull some strange **** I do remember.

Ok, after the Dynasty track was "From NY To La" by Ice T (not the rap guy lol), "From Chicago To The Sky" by 7th Avenue, "The Happiest Street In The World" by Big Bird..yes, Sesame Street Big Bird LOL..then the rest of the 7th Ave suite "LA At The End Of The Day" then Magnifique and some more.

    Just curious, Jimmy...

Why wouldn't you prepare the set list for your mixes in advance? Since you're not spinning for dancers--but for listeners...what's the rationale behind "just winging it"????

    I'm just askin'???!!!!!

Basicly the reason for that is because doing it the way I do I feel that it gives a more intresting feel for it and its not so perfect and can show that **** ups can happen :) The morning show was planned as I had all those records already pulled before I did the show and had a rough idea of what sequence I was gonna play everything in. Also I dont have time to plan a show most of the time and dont really know what to play lol, I have over 1000 records to chose from so many surprises could happen doing it this way as well. I noticed you got the morning one and were in the middle of getting the main program for the week when my computer malfunctioned and I had to shut down. The room is back now lol

Jimmy, if you start planning your shows, you might as well go back to 1971 and just be a host and just slip cue every song in. :P

Actually, I think the way you are doing it is fine... not only are you doing a good job, I feel like i'm with ya thinking to myself "what am I gonna do next?" ... I can imagine you fumbling thru your records and having a good time making a decision in 2 or 3 minutes... Besides, don't you like the challenge? I would

That is exactly the reason I do it that way. There's something Bobby Viteritti said to me once, spinning is like a game, the best way to keep entertained and come up with either the best set blends and not know what your gonna do next, and the game is, slap a record on and then figure "how am i gonna get out of this one?".
