its really sad news the passing of general johnson a real hero of mine a guy that made great music across 5 decades and heading for 6, i saw chairmen of the board when i was 14/15 and dreamed id see them again someday, i think they were just happy playing round the east coat but apparently they were in talks of visiting the u.k but now thats not to be

Tremendous talent. Ahhhh...those were the days.

incredible songwriter (and performer, of course). Didn't know he had written "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show" for the Honey Cone. Great tune that got me quickly over a funk I'd briefly been in post-breakup a few years back. Thanks General Johnson !
