No, the French (and Québec) pressings have English vocals as well.
if his albums that are released in his native country have the vocals recorded in his native language....anyone know?
No, the French (and Québec) pressings have English vocals as well.
BUT... The Malligator pressings of 'Cerrone VIII - Back Track', have the original mixes.
The entire LP was remixed by John Luongo, for the US/Pavillion(CBS) release.

And the Cerrone VII album was originally recorded entirely with Kay Garner and was shelved and re-recorded with Jocelyn Brown. There is also an 11 minute version of Cherry Tree that is apparently mindblowing. We now return to remixing Supernature for the 4 millionth time.

Sorry Stephen, but it's true.
Cerrone told me himself that he re-recorded the vocals because he didn't feel a vibe on Kay's sessions (which is unthinkable) and re-did them.
I know someone who has a copy, I just have to get a hold of them.

Here in Quebec - the album didn't do much but the fact that Nanette Workman (Quebec's very first "Queen of Disco") sang lead on 2 tracks - made us proud.
Ms.Workman previously courted the US market before as a solo act and also as the uncredited singer on Bob-A-Rela's Spend the night and Why does it rain.
Vince Aletti raved about Crying, crying,The Queen and especially If it wasn't for the money (the french version J'ai le gout de baiser was huge in our clubs) in his book The Disco Files 73-78.
