    "Here in the Twilight..."

Ok, at the end of Manhattan Transfer's "Twilight Zone", the vocalist repeats "here in the twilight" to fade for a minute or so...
Well, this part of the track was sampled some years ago by a house group, and my club's deejay has always refused to tell me which group it was. The remix is of the cut'n paste genre, but very free flowing, not syncopated like, say, a DJ Sneak production. It sounds more like Gene Farris. It pretty much isolates the ending of the original, pitches it slightly & extends it on a 5 minute loop. Can anybody help me ?

There was a not bad Masters At Work tune about 5 years ago which sampled 'Twilight Zone'. I can't remember what it was called, maybe 'Twilight'. If I'm correct also, it uses the 'descending missile'-type sound snippet from The Clash's 'Mustapha Dance' in the intro. I think they're (MAW) very overrated but I liked this one quite a lot.

Thank you so much ! :P I've been searching this track for sooooo long that it will be worth it examining MAW's entire discography (if I ever can find a complete one :o ) to find a title that could fit the bill (I too hope they had the decent idea to call it "Twilight", otherwise, I'm in deep s... :-?)

Thanx again 4 the tip, and yes, if it's MAW, this will be their first title that I really like....

addendum : after some google searching, I found this excellent MAW unofficial site http://mawrecords.free.fr, which lists the track as Freestyle Orchestra "Twi-lite". Now, to find it...

I've found it the very evening of the post on Soulseek (an invaluable resource for house lovers). Ah, the memories! :D Much better than the original (I hope disco purists are not listening  )
