Hi, Peter,
More likely and likely it's "In New York" (1980) by Passion:

This is a classic disco song from about 1978 or 1979...male vocal...he sings "In New York I Fell in Love Again..." It's melodic, soaring and heartfelt. The title of the song is not like the chorus, from my recollection. (I wish...it would be easier to find). It is about 128-130 BPM. It also has a female chorus on the bridge singing: "In New York, In New York, Party time, Anytime...in New York, in New York, Woooh!" The music stops cold and then the male vocal comes in again with the beautiful melody of how he fell in love in New York.
I used to have this song in high school (I had the album) and am going crazy looking for it now. Recently heard it again at my 30th high school reunion in Miami. This song was big in Miami back then. It was an album cut. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! -Peter
