Need Song Artist Info Desperately... Help!!!!

Hi all,

I am not sure how many people read these things, but it is worth a shot since I am completely clueless. I need an artist identification. This song is called "Come On Back" and the version I have appears to be the original 70s/80s version of the song. The techno group Black Shadow did a sample of this song in a remix or reedit. Since the original wasn't techno, I am not sure what to call their rendition, though since they didn't "sing" it could hardly be called a cover. The original can be heard in the background, but this is not the actual version I have. So who did the original? Here is a link to the Youtube video by Black Shadow.
