The song goes "you can be better than you think you are, just clap your hands and sing it loud, cause everyone can be a superstar..." singed by a female, that's for sure. The sound recalls to late 70's. I heard it on a radio at late night, there was no speaker announcing the song, so i have no idea about author or any other information.

this is interesting. I went to YouTube to listen to the song and the vocal sounds like a female to me also, but I like the song a lot. I've seen the album many times but assumed it would be a remake of the "Superstar" that the Carpenters made famous. Next time I see it I'll probably get it. And I thought that all records released on Butterfly Records were produced by Rinder and Lewis but I guess not. 8/9/2010
