    Question A Real Penthouse Record?

Somebody just send me this pic. As I do not understand Spanish, I'm just wondering if this was a real release or just a...pic?

On the other hand and to satisfy our customers, this is real !

Never heard of it. It says:

    "The pleasure record"
    "A Penthouse exclusive"
"The sexy voice of Beatriz Escudero"
"I feel erotic, thinking of you"

Literal translation, of course. To make it sound less corny, I'd have to interpret slightly, and change the meaning...

Unfortunately, I can't decipher the fine print. There maybe lies the answer...

You see the pair of scissors in the middle? It looks like a paper record that you would cut out. This was a popular gimmick with some publications. I think MAD magazine used to do them. And these records would play on your turntable.

I did some research, and it appears the flexidisc lead is the right one. It was published in the april 1980 issue of Penthouse Spain. Beatriz Escudero apparently had a "short but intense" stint in the porn industry, and tried to move on to a career in the record industry instead.

    Here's the track:

I got 3 disco records connected to Penthouse magazine by their sleeves, the love Symphony Ork one above, one called Mesdames Ce Soir:
    http://www.discogs.com/Love-Symphony...elease/1296756
and the soundtrack of "Galigula" which has the expensive sounding disco cut "We Are One". This has vocals by "Lydia" and is based on the Aram Kachaturian tune heard during the opening montage of the film. Lydia sings about her love for her brother, so luckily the lyrics are in the spirit of the Tinto Brass/Bob Cuccione's colossal trash epic.
The Mesdames album is useless, just remakes of boring classics.

I only knew (and have) the 2 first ones JussiK mentions, and second the fact that Mes(s)dames Ce Soir is worthless. The first one (Love Symphony Orch), though, is excellent, well arranged and produced.
