the things some people will do for attention and money......unbelievable. I'd love to know what kind of reception her kids get in school. I could almost understand someone whoring so hard for bucks and press if they'd never had much of either...but my goodness....

And here's the new toy, the 4th generation:

BTW, nobody got the joke in the title "Aye Aye Phone"? Nobody? I really feel like a Conan on a Tonight Show now!

BTW2, remember me blogging that my wife threw away my old cellphone and replaced it by such a touchscreen thang? Well, I ditched it and I bought me a simple Nokia 3720c...I'm a happy man again!!

Damn Johan, you are so 1990s! Next you'll tell me you want a monochrome screen... :-)

You will get an iPhone 4 after you've played around with one and see what it can do. Yes, the touchscreen and lack of tactile buttons take a while to get used, but you do learn it quickly. When I first bought my iPhone two years ago I had no idea how things would change for me. It's ability to synch content and contacts perfectly with my Mac is fabulous and a huge timesaver. I actually read and learn more because of all the podcasts and news that I can now enjoy that I couldn't do before. Amazing product that you can't poo-poo until you've tried one. I hope to replace my aging 3G sometime in the fall with an iPhone 4!!! Saving my money as we speak...

Bernie, it's not so much what you can do with it, which can be fun and cool. But...get your hands dirty (garden, work on your car, oil and grease...) and then try to make some phonecalls with your touchscreen. Let's see how long it works!! When I'm building up or breaking up, I can not go wash my hands every ten minutes or so or clean that touchscreen and I get a lot of calls whole day. Simply is a no go for me. The Nokia is a special model that can take shocks, moisture and dust, that's why I like it!

BTW, me 90's?? Be glad that I don't use this one anymore. I loved those carphones! Those were the days!

In your line of work, your points are well taken and I can see how it would be important to have a straight forward phone. So you'll save the iPhone for the drive in the Brabus or night out on the town! Have a good weekend!

no doubt about it, these devices can do some amazing things. I'm particularly pleased with the new "translation" app that Google offers for free and the recording and musical apps. I tend to be less pleased with the $85 monthly bill, and I don't buy each new device that hits the market since I know in advance that most will be obsolete and replaced by something even more spectacular within a year or so....
