hi people. in a recent letter from disco and rock band pioneer marty angelo.it was sad that the people from the winter music confrence. didnt want marty to be on a panel using his disco credentials . what a shame. while a few thousand dj s will be i miami circle jerking to electronic music they have forgotton how they got there. as a dj since 1975 i always respected and was interested in old soul and blues that were the base for disco. now days djs think they are on to something new. dont get me wrong. i love house. i was playing it in the 80s( old chicago stufff) and techno in the late 80s and early 90s. well techno punks try doing good drugs ( we threw. e and meth and mushrooms in the garbage) and maybe you ll remember why you are an over paid dj today , nyc djs would take you to school , guys like larry levan, burgess and savarese. we didnt have electronic drums, just drummers that got high before they got in a studio. mix that with a pitch control punk .oh and why do you sample 80s and 80 s songs ???????oh i forgot you dont have the talent to write your own. disco is to electronic as led zepplin was to grunge and new garage bands rock of today. what djs are doing today is nothing new it has been done for the last 12 years or so by guys like us WILL YOU BE HERE 25 YEARS FROM NOW PUNKS!!!!!!!!!
