    very sad.

When I think of driving around LA in the seventies , three groups come to mind as always being on the radio --- :

    Kool & The Gang

    Rose Royce

    and above all -

    The Isley Bros.

    (remember when they got
Casey Kasem in some trouble when he aired the unedited version of FIGHT THE POWER on his top 40 count down .)

Marvin Isley (top left) of The Isley Brothers has died at the age of 56. The New Jersey-born musician left the band in 1997 over his severe diabetes, which resulted in his legs being amputated.

brothers- yet they hardly look like cousins ....

RIP Marvin Isley. He didn't have the fancy bass playing like Louis Johnson, Raymond Earl, Larry Graham, etc... but he held the bottom good.
