I might be confused... but is the compilation "party lights" the name of the group?
or just the track instrumental played by Slave?
For fans of the track and/or Slave completists, I've just picked a new group compilation called 'Party Lights' - which features the previously unissued instrumental to 'Just A Touch Of Love'. Plods along, does nothing, goes nowhere - but certainly worth checking out!
What would you do without your muesli...where would you be without a bowl?

efunk_adelic, should have made it clearer - the group's Slave, the comp's 'Party Lights - More Of The Best Of Slave' and the track's 'Just A Touch Of Love', 'jazzy' instrumental version.

of all the Steve Arrington's songs... My sleeper favorite has always been "You Meet My Approval'" I like the ending bass riff... and the ending. so cool! :D
'Hall Of Fame 1' is certainly one of the milestone funk LPs of the '80s; funk stripped down and layed bare - dirty and naked! A highly original masterpiece which everyone should own.

I have to agree with you on this one. I remember buying this LP when it first came out. Response at the club I worked at was very minimal. When "Weak At The Knees" was released as a single, I started to promote it, but it quickly died off after a while. I couldn't even say it made the top 10 even at it's peak. :-? I assume looking back now, maybe the timing wasn't good. But you listen to these tracks today..... you cannot tell me you wouldn't be groovin' If I were to see "Nobody Can Be You" or "Weak At The Knees" on 12" singles... I personally would get 'em just to add to my collection. I know the bassline would be just killer.... :DOriginally Written by Forrrce
