Question Where The Happy People Go - The Trammps

    Hi:

Four years ago, I bought a CD: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B000DZIGK8 and a doubt and a question came...

"Is it a remastered CD?" or just a transfer from a vinyl.

    Cheers

The CD is sold by Collectables but manufactured by Rhino/WEA from master tapes.

It definitely was from the master tapes. Too bad they didn't include the 7 inch single-only track 'I'm Alright' which was the B side to 'Hooked For Life'.

It's also too bad they stopped at 'Disco Inferno' for their album reissues. I hope they're going to put out 'Trammps III' and 'The Whole World's Dancing' on CD too.

    Hi Disco Funk:

BTW, is "Disco Inferno" (http://www.amazon.com/Disco-Inferno-...4100398&sr=8-4) remastered? I was looking to my CD and I didn't find any information.

    Cheers,

To be quite honest, I don't know. I bought an earlier release from the 90s, which sounded pretty good. No double dipping on that one. :)

I sort of understand where Rhessel is comin from.

I'm not a technical wizard or a mastering expert; but I know what my ears tell me.

The Atlantic LP pressings from the era sound so weak.
(Hey my Yes & Led Zeppelin LPs from this era sound excellent)
But my Trammps "Happy People Go" & Chic LPs sound so low it's amazing.

The 12" of ".....Happy People Go" is ABSOLUTELY fantastic,
but when I got the CD of the LP thinking that it should be equal quality to the 12", I was very disappointed.

I wish they would REALLY remaster that LP (& other Trammps LPs) so we can really FEEL it like their 12"s.
("Hooked For Life", "...Happy People Go", "Love Magnet" 12"s are all superb)

Or am I asking something that is not possible???
