I was going to post a similar question. I'm curious about it but don't know if i'd like it that much. The only track i 've heard is 'music, harmony & rhythm' and i find it just 'ok'. Can anyone let us know what the rest of the album is like?
Big Break Records has reissued a remastered, with bonus tracks, edition of Brooklyn Dreams first album http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B0039L1JBG

My question is if anyone could tell me how much I'd like this--I'm much more a disco fan than a funk or soul fan. The only Brooklyn Dreams songs I know are Music, Harmony and Rhythm 12", which I like but find a bit "soft" for my tastes, and the reverse voice version of Heaven Knows which isn't on this album...

Well, I just bought this album, it was suggested to me by amazon.co.uk, because I buy a lot of Disco/Soul albums from them.
Anyway, I didn't know this band at all, but just gave it a try .
I'm not disappointed at all, the album has a real "American" sound, but as a non American, donīt ask me to define it...
After listening to this album, I know now where Hall and Oates, The Avarage White Band , Michael Mc. Donald ( Doobey Brothers) etc. got their inspiration from...!!
It maybe not exactly Disco, but most songs are absolutely danceble, the CD even has three 12 inch versions of different songs as a bonus.
It seems Donna Summer is in the back choir on some songs, she was ( is?) married to one of the band members.
Maybe someone else has more info about this band, as I donīt know them at all.
DISCO...that's where the happy people go....!!!
