Arrow Donna Summer On Disco's Deeper Meaning (Radio)!

Donna being interviewed by Tom Ashbrook and Alice Echols on the deeper meaning of Disco and women's lib. Don't know if it's been posted before but it's very interesting. The interview was done at the time when "Crayons' was released.

if I could talk to Donna Summer, I'd love love LOVE to know how she reacted and what she initially thought when Moroder presented her with all that electronic music on "Once Upon A Time". Sure it's considered classic and innovative now but did she actually like it then? Did she think people would appreciate or understand it? Did she have any reservations about recording it? Did she think it would get any airplay? 4/28/2010

I love that Donna once referred to the instrumental version of I feel love as one of Giorgio's popcorn tracks...

That was a reference to the first big synth radio hit, Popcorn right?

She seemed to take most of those innovations in her stride. I know she did the lyrics of Once Upon a Time with Pete in something like a day--to a demo provided by Moroder and Bob Esty (who did most of the arrangements on sides 1, 3 and 4)

I believe it is - in fact. I always assumed it was anyway.
