Could it possibly be this classic? (heavily edited here)
A favorite radio station has a great format, playing anything top 40 from 1960-2000. Only thing, they have no DJs to identify the occasional disco instrumentals they play.
One they play quite frequently starts with a funky guitar riff. In the middle is a trippy keyboard and bass part. Throughout the track is a repeated chorus of what sounds like "Hold Me" sung in harmony by female singers. At the end of the track, the singers repeat "All We Need is Love".
The track is fairly long (6-7 minutes). Based on the music and the repeated choruses, I could have sworn it was by Silver Convention. I believe it is from the mid-70s and based on what the station typically plays, it was likely fairly popular at one time.
I appreciate your help,
Shawn

...ya gotta beat the street......
Alas, this is not the one. In trying to find the title of the mystery track, I searched through the entire catalogs of Cerrone, Silver Convention, and Giorgio Moroder. The track I'm struggling with has about half the BPM as "Love in C Minor". Similar to anything by Cerrone, this song is spare on lyrics. The only words are "Hold Me" and "All We Need is Love", both phrases repeated many times.
Thank you for the reply though.
Shawn
It could potentially be D. C. LaRue - "Overture"
