That's definitely the track but the LP version is only 4:56 long.
Even the 12" I found were the same as the album.
I'm curious where this long mix comes from if indeed it is from 1978 and not a new re-edit.

@Discofever - sorry - I should have said that wasn't exactly what was on the mixed tape. I think that was about 4 minutes long. I was just thrilled with the song and decided it "wasn't enough" for me. I cut the middle break short and mixed back into the very beginning and let it play all the way through again.

BTW - thanx much Alex for that info. I've bugged the crap out of every music person/DJ I know this past weekend about that song. Still can't believe I "missed that" back in 78. Wonder if it was a regional hit then? Although I was in the "D.C. area" and it certainly seems very D.C. to me. I can hear it in the old Eagle in Exile as I type :)

Did you try searching discogs? I found it there but Alex had already ID'd it when I came back to the forum. Listening to the song I guessed it might have P.A.R.T.Y. in the title. So searching for that and 1978, the first hit was for Denise LaSalle.
