Hi All,
Years ago I borrowed a soul compilation album - from the days when one track ran into the next to mimic the disco style - remember those albums ? K-TEL I think or similar. Anyway from this album I taped some good tracks :
"In The Bottle" - Brother to Brother
"Ask Me" - Ecstasy Passion and Pain
...and finally a track called "Back Up" which is terrific but I don't recall who the group was. Any ideas out there - and what the album was ??

Many thanks Discofunk - and for the YT upload - what a great voice !
It makes sense that they were Canadian - I found the album when living in Toronto - I think it was "Soul Explosion" or similar...wish I still had it.

Last question on this : did it chart in the US - or popular in US disco's ? I am guessing so since you have the single, Disco Funk.
Finally a great line from "In The Bottle" : "Give me a hit one time Slick" !
Thanks !

I'm not sure what kind of play it got in the US. I got my copy used in Canada some time in the 90s.
I like Brother To Brother's 'In The Bottle' LP. That record goes for a lot of money, but the single for the title track is dirt cheap. I don't think Brother To Brother a real group because it sounds like the Rimshots are playing, and the lead singer even sang on a Rimshots track. Plus, one song was directly lifted from a Wood Brass & Steel release, just the lead vocals were changed.
