Did anyone fequent Heaven (under the arches) in the 80's?

I used to work there for a few years and and now trying to track down some of the music I heard there.

The one that is proving most difficult is a track called "Again" well I think that is what it is called.

It is an instrumental track, quite slow but has a woman talking on it. Not explaining myself very well, am I ? Anyway, she says Again a few times in a row then a line of verse then repeats again a few times. The are a few Eastenders style drum rolls in there for good measure to.

People used to go mad on the dancefloor for it. I really want to get a copy.

Someone has since told me it could be Night People but I am not sure.

Ian Leving used to play it all the time.

    Help, pleeease!!!!!

    Again

I just spoke with Ian levine, the track in question was by Do Piano and is apparently quite hard to come by, it was called Again and was apparently on a French Label, it was going to be licensed to Record Shack and given a Uk release but this never happened.

Well, Mr.Levine is incorrect with his info I'm afraid as I own a copy of Do Piano's wonderful 'Again' on 12" on Record Shack records, serial no. SOHOT 65 & distributed by RCA/Ariola from '86. I got it cheap from a sale somewhere so I shouldn't think you'd have too much trouble tracking it down with a bit of perseverence.

BTW, Straight acting, please tell Ian that he's got a big fan on Disco.com 'cos I so admire his work with Motorcity, Nightmare, AVI & Record Shack (amongst others!)over the last 20-odd years.

    AGAIN

Well, thanks to everyone that got back to me about this track, I've since found it and bought a copy through Sugarshack. It is the exact copy that I wanted, it is in really good condition and I'm driving my boyfriend absolutely mental with playing it all the time. Can't believe it's taken all this time to tack it down and would love to hear Ian's new album, I've always been a big fan and please let me know when it's out. (Ian, I have to admit I was one of the staff that called in sick to Heaven when Divine was playing in the Hippodrome, SORRY but he was worth it).
Thanks to all, there'll be more enquiries coming soon I'm sure.

Glad to see you finally found a copy of that. I have the Record Shack pressing which has a remix on it plus the original.

On the topic of Heaven... When did the HI-NRG start to fade out with the clubbers.. ? I read an article some years ago that indicated it was around 1988.. It said that iian levine tended to play his own Nightmare productions and the crowds were losing interest and demanding house music instead ? is this correct ?

I've got the Do Piano track on white label and always loved it, along with a coupla tracks I still can't find - Sleeping Lions & Krew Kuts.

Krew Kuts were on a very small label the name of which escapes me now.

    Remember Agents Aren't Areoplanes? lol

I have a 12" single of a song called Again and Again and Again. I can't remember the artist and the record is not in my reach at this time. But the song was upbeat, not slow. Does anyone know the artist? I am having a senior moment. The song was super popular and packed the dance floor in New Orleans.

    Hi Neil

I just went to do the same...............and ended up in my loft, scratching me head and trying to work out where I'd stored the stuff I hardly listen to.

Searched under bed first, in the wardrobe, back in the loft, then recalled I sold them early last year as a job lot!

    Doh.:icon_confused:

Have you checked out the clips I posted btw? Loving that one of Divine doing You Think You're A Man
