    Le Pamplemousse

Can any of you disco citizens out there tell me how many LPs this Rinder & Lewis act released please. I have 2 but would like all of them as I really like their sound, especially 'Sweet Magic- Do You Have Any' which I'm currently addicted to! :D (what a brilliant sleeve too).

I think the complete list is as follows:

self-titled (1976) -- This one differs from all the others in that it has the typical early Rinder & Lewis sound found on El Coco's "Mondo Disco" and "Brazil" LPs.
    Le Spank (1977)
    Planet Of Love (1978)
    Sweet Magic (1979)
self-titled (1980) more of an EP, this has only 4 songs and is less than half an hour long.
My Love Is Burning Up (1982)
Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is (1984) -- note: like later St. Tropez productions, this one has nothing to do with R&L.

Thanks Graham. Just out of interest, & assuming you're familiar with them all, can I just ask what your favourite is as your tastes are generally similar to mine.

I like the first two best. The rest have their moments, but the first two are the most solid overall IMO.

There is also a 1980 EP produced by Rinder And Lewis credited to MIDNIGHT WIND. Despite the "new" band name one of the 3 songs is really LE PAMPLEMOUSSE... (the song is CAN'T HIDE IT, I CAME HERE TO DANCE), but it is a very different mix from the song found on LE PAMPLEMOUSSE LP. The other 2 songs are originals, but very LE PAMPLEMOUSSE sounding.

    :D Graham:

You said that like Saint Tropez later productions, PUT YOUR LOVE WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS by LE PAMPLEMOUSSE has nothing to do with Rinder and Lewis..., but as far as I know Saint Tropez last album (HOT AND NASTY from 1982) was produced / played by Rinder, Lewis and lots of studio musicians...

What do you mean? Is there any other album after that?

Weren't there a couple more St Tropez singles? I'll have to check on "Morning Music"...
