Hey Jussi I got your book

I wanted to save this for the time when I had read it, but as usual I'm late with my reading list (just ended Pamela Des Barres' classic I'm with the band and still haven't touched Last night a DJ... which I bought who knows when).

Anyway, last October I had the pleasure to go to Vancouver, BC for work (it was my second time there). I remembered a bookstore with lots of used stuff. Entered the place and what did I find in between old stacks of Nirvana biographies... a practically new copy of Saturday Night Forever! FYI, the price was 10 Canadian bucks (cover price was $ 16,95). So it's fair to say it keeps some value for a book considered "too old" for Chapters.

I promise I will read it, I do! I can already tell you I loved the photo-spread dedicated to disco cover art (you didn't forget that wacky back cover for Macho's I'm the man :icon_mrgreen:)

Any book that dedicates 25 pages to disco movies -including several ones I never heard of- looks like a must for this nostalgic fan

Well, thanks..:-) I doubt there'll be anything much new to you apart from the film chapter - the book was indeed written ages ago and it's pretty much a basic text on the subject. Too much about mainstream stuff, like who wants to read about Earth, Wind And Fire? Ten years ago, I regrettably thought the more underground tracks were too deep in the underground to focus on.

I think another book is due from you then Jussi, espousing on the underground disco that you know like no other.

Your first book rekindled my love for quite a few songs that back in the day I rarely gave a thought to.
