Favorite Disco Remix

Not including original 12" remixes (and not remakes, either), what is your favorite "updated remix" of a disco classic. Let me give you an example: from the "Priscilla Queen of The Desert" Soundtrack the Real Rapino Remix of "I Love The Nightlife" by Alicia Bridges.

My all-time favorite remix of a disco song is Frankie's Favorite Club Mix of Michael Jackson's "Rock With You." The piano prelude is stunning and really builds up anticipation for the beat (much like Donna Summer's would have those monumental build-ups).

Frankie Knuckles has also done some fabulous remixes of other disco classics, such as Dianna Ross' "Love Hangover."

DISCODOC straight away comes to my mind LOOSE ENDS- HANGIN' ON A STRING-frankie knuckles 92 remix.
frankie turns an already great song into a masterpiece with those haunting strings TOP JOB :P
BTW a few months ago i saw a c.d single sell for $48 on e.bay :o so im obviously not alone!

Easily, a mid 80s Kiss (98.7) Mastermix of "Come Ley Me Love You." I don't have the album infront of me know so I can't give the name of the DJ. I can say though that was a remix that captured the sexuality in that song while keeping it really danceable.
Oh, I just remembered one more but I don't think this was released. Again, this was done by Kiss, 98.7. It was the summer of '88 and I think it was DJ Red Alert remixing "It Takes Two." I never got into that song until I heard the mix he did on it. I think he had every car stereo in the city rockin' to it. It was a beautiful thing :)

I'm not sure you can call this a remix, but I got a really cool version of "Do It Anyway You Wanna" by Peoples Choice.
It contains mixed in samples of other hits to go along with the beat. Got it from Winmx.. check it out... you might like it.

My all time favourite and a track that I can listen to again and again and I had good club response when it was released is the 1992 Rhythm Stick remix of Shame - Evelyn "Champagne" King, edit by Mark Alsop & Paul Goodyear.
I just love the emotion in Evelyn's singing.

Never yet heard a better remix :lol:
