Is Cheryl Lynn's "Got to be real" 45 an alternate vocal take in respect to the 5 minute album version? The new reissue of her 1978 album by Reel records is boasting about this and it's recent inclusion on this pressing of the CD. There's also a 12" version of "You saved my day" which isn't on youtube so I'm wondering if that's an 80's mix or a re-edit or a track with additional music.

I've got both versions on CD somewhere so I'll have to listen with the headphones.
Good to talk to you again Donald!!!:icon_mrgreen:
My friends and I called it the "sooo hoo" version,
Cheryl sings, "soo hoo soo hoo I've got to have it baby..."
The 12' stripped it out of the mix, creating a "break" in the song, the first promo pressings of the LP do have the "soo hoo" version on it, then later presses of the LP featured the 12" mix.
"You Saved My Day" 12" is very collectible as Donald said, and the price matches the scarcity.
I never did understand why they removed the soo hoo from the 12" version as it's the best part of the song :icon_razz: Every time I play the 12" version I just feel there's something missing.
Looking forward to receiving my remastered copy of the cd by the way!
Yes, I played it last night and the "Zoo who" is on the single version without any instrumental break. On the original pressings of the album, was the "Zoo who" version shorter like on the single or was that break worked in at some point.
