Does anyone have any ideas why the FIRST Bionic Boogie LP is not on CD as of yet? Also, Pattie Brooks Casablanca catalog-where is this stuff?![]()
Brian Chin put together a CD compilation for Universal US on Bionic Boogie and it was never issued. I have a CDR, but it is defective, believe it or not.
Maybe our friends at Funkytowngrooves will release, or someone else ?
Let's hope. 2nd Bionic Boogie CD released in Japan on P-Vine, fyi..
Allow me to say this the way the kids in my neighborhood would......

And just keep your eyes out for new labels doing new things. This is a really exciting time.
Record companies, instead of not releasing catalog but still denying others licensing....are saying yes.
And the majors are doing things too! Check Hip-O Select::..Hippo Select, Motown Select, Motown, Motown Singles, Reissues
The only way to know whats going on is to check those "new releases" lists and to contact the music companies and let them know what you want. And buy, buy, buy. (Please?)

Hopefully we've reached a point where the majors will license this stuff to start-up labels. I get catalogs like Collectors Choice (who also license titles titles) and there are boatloads of blues in budget box sets and complete artist recordings issued by Bear Family. But never a soul or disco artist is on these. The labels have to realize that not everybody wants a download with a rootkit. I probably have 5,000 reissues but I hope to see more.
