Although I haven't received my copy yet, I am led to believe these will be 12" versions as this is part 2 of the highly regarded "Disco Connection."

Gwen McRae is a very good UK only 12" remix

Just got round to buying this CD today and it is excellent - as Ysl says they are all 12" versions.

Highly recommended all round. I've never heard much Sister Sledge apart from their chart hits, but "If You Really Want Me" is superb, far better than the dreadful "All American Girls", the title track (and hit record if I remember correctly) of the album from which it comes.

Debra Laws was a UK-only 12", 'Very Special' was the US promo 12. 'On My Own' is, however, the same length as the LP.

'Keep the Fire Burning' was issued on US as a re-mix, I think this may be the same version which was released in the UK.

    From the sleeve notes:

The version [of Keep The Fire Burning] featured here is a radically different UK remix restructured from the original multitrack which is now almost impossible to find in its pink picture sleeve featuring the artwork to Gwen's "On My Way" LP.

One other interesting thing I learned from the sleeve notes is that Steve Arrington "is now a minister back home where it all began in Dayton Ohio".

The US 12" of 'Keep The Fire Burning' (Atlantic 0-89905) which clocks in at 6:34 (the LP/original UK 12" version is 5:37) is the same re-mix issued on UK 12". No mixer is credited. I recall this version coming out here first, however.

If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, but I'll always question some Johnny-come-lately record company exec. playing catch-up.

    All hail the pink sleeve.

Says 6:51 on the sleeve. Just about to go to bed now but will put it in the CD player tomorrow to find its real length. Not sure I prefer this one anyway over the original 5:37 UK 12" which is on the "Natural High 2" CD in the same "Disco Masters" series.
