    I like your music!!

Hi Discohunter, There are some great songs there!!
I've liked Grace Jones for years and have most of her stuff. I particularly love her 'warm leatherette' album although I wouldn't class it as disco although many of the tracks are danceable!! I luckily got hold of the 12" of 'I need a man' recently which is an extended version of the single version. There aren't any surprises in it i.e. extra verses etc.

I also love Suzy Lane's 'harmony' (produced by Giorgio Moroder) For those who don't know, it's off the album 'Ooh la la' from 1979. Harmony is the best track with the title track coming in a poor 2nd. The rest of the album is disappointing, especially as Giorgio had done Donna's amazing 'Bad girls' album and his own great 'e=mc2' the same year.

My fave Gino Soccio track is 'try it out.' I don't know who the female vocalist is but if anyone can enlighten me... I love the sax solo as well!!

Donna Summer's 'Bad girls' album is being rereleased on 26 July as a deluxe, 2 CD version with extra tracks. I can't wait as it is my all time favourite album!!! Go Donna!!!!!

Have to disagree with you there. The song "Ooh, La, La" is great, as is the whole of Side 1 of the album. "Harmony" always sounds a bit wishy washy to me.

Geez, Cmonow!!! I totally agree that "Harmony" is the only "keeper" on Suzi Lane's LP. And what a fine song it is. This was a Trocadero classic!!!

I was always disappointed with the rest of the LP--especially since Moroder was at his peak form in this period.

Can't wait to see what "unreleased tracks" Moroder might dig up for the reissue of "Bad Girls". Weren't some of the tracks released on Donna's "I'm A Rainbow" outtakes from the "Bad Girls" sessions? Or were they all intended for the shelved 1981 release of "I'm a Rainbow"?

"To Turn The Stone" is my fave from the "Rainbow" CD. I'd orignally only heard Frida's (ABBA) version on her Phil Collins produced solo LP. Loved that Frida, too!!!! :D

I agree with you guys on Suzi Lane's LP.... I bought it when it first came out... and was very disappointed. It was like they just wanted to make a quick $$$. (buck)

Yes, I'm in total agreement re 'Harmony' being the only decent track off this LP. Its so dissappointing 'cos Giorgio is one of my favorite producers & '79 is my favourite year. In fact, the same could be said about Munich Machine's LP from '79 'Body Shine'- there is just the single good track 'Party Light' & the rest is total dross IMO! Maybe Giorgio & co were running out of ideas by '79. :-?

My last purchase was Al Green "The Love Songs Collection". For awhile there I forgot about my old jams until I saw a advertisement of his greatest hits. This cd is hot!

Unfortunately, I lost one of my Salsoul Orchestra Anthology cds (side B) and somehow misplaced or lost my Love Unlimited cd :( :x . I tore my house upside down and there is no trace of it so I have to spend more money to replace the damn thing  !
