Sounds Cameo-ish, but thought the artist was Bernard Wright, though pretty much went through his songs of that era & couldn't find it, was played on R&B/Disco/Funk stations pretty sure Summer '83.

YW :) I seldom get in here, & have to use a public PC. (Facebook plug-ins & widgets do not play well with my home PC & connection)... also hard to listen to snippets & samples.
I was hoping to possibly catch some of this music on the Soul Train re-runs they have been showing on Bounce TV currently.
