definately not that, thats from the mid 90's. the youtube vid song is from 1993/1994 . and i have an italo house track that uses the same vocal, and is from 1991 . it sounds like it could come from a obscure U.S 80's track

    thanks for trying :)

Those lyrics are from the song "Listen Up" by Quincy Jones which was recorded in 1990 on a 12" Single. There is a version of the song on You Tube, however it is not the Radio Version I listened to, played, and have on my iPod. Here's the Chorus:

Everybody, listen up, everybody has a meaning
Listen up for the things that you believe in
Lift every voice to right a wrong
Lend a helping hand to a friend, it'll keep you strong

The Chorus changes slightly which includes these lyrics:

Everybody, listen up, every word brings out a meaning
Listen up, in yourself; you must believe in
Reach out and touch, don't be afraid
Open up your heart, find a friend and hold a hand

Listen up, everybody has a meaning
Listen up, to the things that you believe in
Lift every voice to right a wrong
Lend a helping hand to a friend, it'll keep you strong
