Check out any of the major DJ software. They are like autopilots with Beatlock etc. (Traktor,(NATIVE INSTRUMENTS : HOME | HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR MUSICIANS, PRODUCERS, DJS, GUITAR AND BASS PLAYERS),

Is there such a program or technique I can use to fix a lot of the BPMs fluctuations on many disco records. Would help me a great deal

Hi, I have Traktor already, they have something called Beatgrid its not what I am after though.
AbletonLive8 is great for customizing disco tracks. It shows you how to keep the beatline by having you arrange so it can correctly time strech. plus you can create intros and outros for DJ friendly folk.:icon_razz:
Is it for sampling?
Using software like that for live mixing or preparing tracks for it is called "Cheating". It's like climbing a mountain in a Ski Lift - anyone can do it![]()

Hi, No its not for sampling. What was you thinking?
I try to understand because I see different needs for samples, multitrack mixing, Mush Up etc and live mixing. I won't dive deeper into that.
Adobe Audition is capable of making each beat exactly as long as the other. I don't know how to do it fully automatic but I can do it manually....
Haven't used AbletonLive8 but it seems to be able to do the same thing...
I have Ableton, but don't use it for DJing... yet.
it will snap all your tracks to a beat grid. only problem is it's more of a cash commitment than some other DAWs
