I've only heard the brilliant Chic-produced LP King of the World by Sheila & B.Devotion. Can someone tell me what their Love Me Baby LP is like; I'm only aware of the Singin' in the Rain track and I'm thinking of getting it at some point on CD. Ta.

Sheila B.Devotion´s "Singin´In The Rain" has

been released 1977 and is really for hot

summer days...it´s more hysterical and some-

times very percussive. There´s besides the

titletrack a big smashit on it:"Love Me Baby"

which has been massive in Europe. Other

favorties from the Album:"Kiss Me Sweetie",

"I Don´t Need A Doctor"...has also been re-

leased as 12".

The Album is sweetly, but fast...summerly

and sometimes hysterical. Prod. by Claude

"Love Me Baby" was the first Sheila track I ever programmed once I started mobile....it broke in upstate NY several months before it broke in the NY area. This would have been roughly November '77. By May /June '78 the domestic SINGING IN THE RAIN LP broke in NY (Crocker premiered it on radio, I believe). The album may be a bit pop/disco for some tastes, but I've always loved "Love Me Baby". If the CD has the 12" version of "Love Me Baby" on it (it edits the vical and instrumental versions together for a longer mix), definitely pick it up!
