Soul-Boy

Well I come from Newcastle upon Tyne, England
For the past 20+ years I have been involved in the bar/nightclub industry in the UK. I was a dj between 1986 - 1997.I played mainly Soul, Funk, Rare Groove, Northern Soul, Classic Hip-Hop, Electro and Disco delights.. Around 1997, I started to become disillusioned with the quality and style of music that was being released in the UK. The style of dance music that was available at the time was void of any real structure or feeling. So I made the tough decision to give up spinning and move into the management side of the industry. I ran all sorts of leisure venues successfully for 12 years, then at the start of this year I decided to give it all up and to buy property in Spain. I am currently looking into investing in either some bars or nightclubs for the future around Europe. Since Jan of this year, my quest has taken me to Amsertadam, Belgium, Lyon, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca and Egypt.
I am an avid follower and collector of all things disco related. I have around 3000+ records, 2000+ cd's and around 2000+mp3's . I love to share my music and thoughts with like minded people, so hopefully I can increase my knowledge on the subject with the members here!
