I just found out that there is going to be a Motown tribute on Thanksgiving day during halftime of the Green Bay/Detroit game. Haven’t heard of many of the artists but I’m sure they must be pretty good if they are representing Motown, right? I’ll probably watch. Looks interesting and seems fitting since it is the 50th anniversary of Motown I believe… WATCH THE FUTURE OF MOTOWN PERFORMING THE HISTORY OF MOTOWN!
"I'll wait for you there. Like a stone. I'll wait for you there... Alone" umgd
I'll probably skip it. I'm a big fan of Motown music but their current artists don't interest me much (except Stevie) and I'd only be interested if the show featured lots of the label's original artists. On a related subject, in a record store recently I noticed that a third volume of the "Cellarful of Motown" series has just been released but I was in a hurry and didn't get to read the titles (hopefully it's online by now). And Motown has recently released so many repackages of Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 music that I've lost count. 11/21/09
