    The X Factor - UK

WHose watching the X Factor? For anyone not familair it is Simon Cowell's (everyone's heard of him!) equivalent of American Idol except there are three categories, boys, girls, bands & over 25's. There are 4 judges & after wittling the auditionies down from 200,000, each judge is left with 3 acts to take to the live shows on Saturdays. The public then votes for the favourite act and the 2 act with the least votes go for a 'sing-off' and the judges choose who to save. ANYWAY.....

This year there is one act that is causing particular controversy, 2 Irish boys called John & Edward who can't sing and dance but put through as the judge in their category is also Irish but a very shrewd person (he found Boyzone who were originally rubbish) - the point of this post is to say I have decided to vote for 'Jedward' as they are known, as if they win, beating some amazing acts along the way it will be the end of the show, and ruin Simon Cowell's credibility as a serious pop impressario.

    What do you think :icon_question:

I find it so amusing that Simon Cowell is thought of by the masses nowadays as someone who knows about music & talent. For years he was considered a joke by the music industry. The only thing he's an expert in is making money. His 3 biggest acts are Robson & Jerome, Wonderdog & Sinitta. Nuf said. Simey & Louie are examples of some of the odious charlatans who inhabit the music industry & 2 reasons why it's in the state it's in today IMO.:icon_confused: (& don't even get me started on Cheryl Coles-to-Newcastle. Vacuous tart.)

:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: I remember Simon Cowell poncing around the Embassy Club in shorts in the late 70's/early 80's in London. He was a very pretty boy! It's interesting how you describe Simon & Louie as 'odious charlaltans'. The only other person who I know who does the same job is exactly the same! I have no view on Cheryl Cole, except she has bad taste in footballers!

I always remember a running feud between Simon Cowell & Ian Levine in 'The Street Scene' magazine (Morgan Khan's ill-fated short-lived but fab dance music mag of the mid 80s) letters page. It was an hilarious ongoing bitch fest for weeks! The thing that seemed to upset Simeybabes most was when Ian accused him of shaving his chest!:icon_confused: He didn't seem at all bothered when Ian described a Sinitta record as 'shitty'! (probably 'cos he knew that it really was even if he wouldn't admit it!:icon_twisted:).

The problem I have with her is that I can't understand a bloody word she says. For some reason the Geordie accent just does not stimulate the language synapses in my brain and hence I struggle to understand anything she says. It's the same with Ant & Dec!

Oh u lucky thing! Me & 'husband' love France & the French & all we talk about is winning the lottery & moving to France one day. I'll have to visit u sometime. & yes it's tres sad about Blanche Hunt - what a brilliant character & actress she was. We'll just have to be content with Graham - now there's a character to watch out for! Did u see him in drag this week?
Ah, Corry is much more fun than X Factor!

You gotta be shiting me here..right?
We clubber's, Dj's, record collector's and connissers of all that is of good taste that reside in Newcastle Upon Tyne are certainly not fooled like the rest of the UK concerning this talentless skank!

Where is the talent in continuously pre-recording so called 'Live Performances'.

Where is the talent in using vocal coders on all your material.

She made her singing debut with successful all girl band Girls Aloud who went on to have major success in the British charts but if you happen to listen to all there releases, you will find Mrs Cole only sings a couple of lines on most tracks...I wonder why?

Her debut album has sold well to her teeny-boppers following but it has also been savagely torn to threads by respected music critics!

From her manufactured origins of Girls Aloud to her pure drivel solo career, this is a fine example of what we are being forced fed on tv and radio by the clever but "I would'nt know real music if it jumped up and bit me on the arse" Mr Cowell...

So please.. enough with Cherly Cole being the next shining star!...we are just glad we shipped her out of Newcastle Upon Tyne and we dread the day that she darken's our door once more!

    Peace!
