Information about disco music

Hi! I'm new on this site! I love the era on disco music so I think this is going to be amazing.

I wonder if you guys could recommend me books or articles which talk about the characteristics of the disco music. For example, the type of different sounds depending on the region and the era, the instrumentation...

I'm doing a Terminology project at my university where I have to define and explain concepts which constitue types or parts of a topic of my choice and I'm considering choosing this one! :icon_razz:

I'll keep checking this site (I've just arrived as I said before) to look for information.

welcome aboard the disco train . . .and just click on "101" in the upper right hand corner (about an inch from the top), and then scroll down that new page to the heading "Disco 101 by Category", and click on "History", and you'll see some great threads about the basics of disco, including book references :icon_exclaim:
