As some of you know, Dan Hartman was with The Edgar Winter Group before going solo and into disco.
So for Halloween, here is a clip of him playing bass on their hit Frankenstein...
Now, here is a video of Dan singing his hit Instant Replay....
Though the hair and some of the effects are the same, the transformation is complete.
IT'S ALIVE!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!
As a bonus scary video, here is Phyllis Diller on Madame's Place...
Happy Halloween!:icon_twisted:
I remember as a kid seeing that Madame puppet all the time on TV, then I forgot all about it until recently when they spoofed it on Family Guy. I wonder if Madame ever made it onto the muppet show? :)
Dan Hartman did Instant Replay, while Edgar did this one
Disco Funk
Since this is a halloween thread, here are a few similar themed dance tracks.
Not quite a horror theme, but some supernatural stories were featured on this program, entitled 'In Search Of', hosted by Leonard Nimoy, music by Rinder & Lewis

Very surprised at the Edgar Winter track. I had never heard it before.
Thanks.![]()
I'm sure I never heard that Edgar Winter track before. I really like it :icon_cool:
Find them and destroy them!
That Edgar Winter LP is available on CD too. I found this out when I was in San Francisco 2 years ago. I had just bought the vinyl version & then went into another store a couple of blocks away & saw the CD version! I was really surprised to see it on CD. I think it sounds from later than '79 - more of an 80s electronic sound IMO. I remember reading reviews of it back in '79 & imagined it would sound more like Dan Hartman's stuff of that era, but it didn't.:icon_confused: (can you believe I remember reviews from nearly 30 years before!)
...ya gotta beat the street......
