Oh yes - that is the tune!

Thanks Funky Chris - I'm going to get the vinyl Shalamar.

Shazam exists but nothing beats the human ear. The knowledge that is in this forum. Shazam can not compete. Often these tracks have a whole lot of background noise. The only way they can be id'd is by the expert ear listening and giving the verdict from experience. Either you guys already have the tune in your collection or you remember it from the day when the scene played real music. Either way, this forum is a unique phenomenom.

I always hear a song and listen to the lyrics to work out what it might be called. Sometimes you know the sound of the group so you take a guess and hit the jackpot on YouTube - other times that is just not possible.

That is when I come into this forum, post a link and WWOW - the tune name is there the next day from an expert.

I always try to get the vinyl. It don't mean a thing if its got that 128 bitrate encoding do do swing.

    This forum is something special.

I hope you folks also can ID the first track played in this cilp. Maybe it is modern, maybe it is not so modern, maybe it is modern funk, only you know. All I know is, when you id it, I am going to try to source the vinyl. The original connection with the artist - like you have the privelidge of.

Sometimes I wake up in the morning - check my post and sure enough, someone has ID'd a track like funky Chris did and it makes my whole day. My girl thinks that is a little bit crazy but she loves the tunes too so its all good.

Thank you in advance - you all know what kind of feeling having good music brings.

If you know the ID of the first track. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Believe it or not but i actually know what tune you`re looking for.:icon_cool:

He`s a drummer - Gene Dunlap "She Had No Place To Go" from his `83 lp/cd
"Tired Of Being A Nice Guy" Capitol Records.

Here`s a link to another tune from the same lp.
