McLaren MP4-12C: Hot Stuff!

After ending their coöperation with Mercedes and putting the SLR McLaren production to a full stop, the F1 boys are coming with something new, called the MP4-12C - 'MP4' for McLaren Project 4!

'12' refers to McLaren's internal Vehicle Performance Index and 'C' for carbon (fibre technology) - and developed fully in-house with no carryover parts from any other car, the new McLaren supercar will go on sale in 2011.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-litre V8 engine producing around 448 kW and 600 Nm, mated to a seven-speed Seamless Shift dual clutch gearbox (SSG), performance is understandably nothing short of sensational.

McLaren is about to release the GT3 and maybe...there will even be a street version of it later on!
