I was recently digging through the bargain bins....

and I'd be interested to know what you would call your current favorite song (disco or otherwise) that would fall into the category of a one-hit wonder? Mine will change depending on my mood, but the doo-wop-ish "Digging Your Scene" by the Blow Monkeys still sets my toes a-tappin'. What's yours? 9/30/09

Haven't heard that one in ages.

I've been enjoying this one-hit wonder lately:

"Because there's music in the air."

My pick for fave one-hit wonder of the disco era is a tie between:

    Full Time Thing by Whirlwind

    -and-

Makin' It by David Naughton (actually got to meet him and watch him sing it Live in 1995 -- fun memory !).

Well "Diggin your scene" by the Blow Monkeys is a superbe song, they actually had another minor hit in the UK with "It doen't have to be this way"
My classic One-Hit-Wonder is (although they were successful producers) Mc Fadden & Whitehead "Ain't no stopping us now".

I always liked "Makin' It" too. During that period, it seemed that Freddie Perren could do no wrong! Oh wait a minute....the "Twice the Fire" Peaches and Herb album didn't seem to go very far......

yep, Freddy Perren was da bomb, thru his exceptional '70s disco songwriting/production work with the Sylvers, Tavares, Gloria Gaynor, etc. Yet another great disco talent taken before his time
