HERE I WILL PRESENT SOME OF THE SONGS THAT I WOULD PLAY MOSTLY ON 45 FROM "BACK IN THE DAY". I STARTED PLAYING IN 1973, I WOULD BUY 2 COPIES OF EVERY 45 OR LP THAT I WAS PLAYING. THE SONGS WERE TOO SHORT, SO THIS IS WHERE I LEARNED TO REMIX AND EXTEND THE SONG. I COULD NOT LIVE WITOUT 2 COPIES.
HERE IS A GEM OF SONG FROM THE TEMPTATIONS - "LAW OF THE LAND"
The Temptations "Law Of The Land"
EACH DAY I WILL PRESENT TO YOU SONGS FROM THIS FIRST GENERATION DJ.
ENJOY

thanks for the "early days" spins, Pooch, and I'm sure you were glad when Scepter Records started putting extended mixes on 45s.![]()
Nice tracks. Definitely keep them coming. I'm always interested in learning about a new track from the old days that was a DJ's favourite.
I've been finding a few extended mixes that were released on 7in at 33 1/3. Like Philly Devotions - Hurt So Bad and Vast Majority's Love For Sale. I think Once You Hit The Road, the extended 7in version was also 33 1/3.
Disco Funk
THANK YOU MY FRIENDS AND I AM GLAD YOU ARE ENJOYING A FLASHBACK IN TIME. NEXT UP FOR TODAY IS "TIME TO GET DOWN" O'JAYS 1972
AS ALWAYS, I COULD I NOT LIVE WITHOUT 2 COPIES
O'JAYS-time to get down (1972)
THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO COME, ENJOY

Well for today we have a super classic. This is a two part record with a part 1 on the A-side and part 2 on the B-side. It is obvious that you cannot play this tune without having two copies.
Marvin Gaye - "Got To Give It Up"
Marvin Gaye "got to give it up" pt 1 & 2

Hey Remicks!
Very Happy you are part of this thread!!!
I am familiar with "Supership" but it never did anything for the floor. I do not think that I have a copy of this any longer. Thanks for the post and I hope you are enjoying some of the tunes from BITD.
