    Absolute Best

Here I hope to discuss some of the BEST songs we love to play or hear when we are in a club.
I would like to start this thread with one of my all time favorites - -
Doctor Love - First Choice - Salsoul Records

    YouTube - First choice/Dr love(uncut mix 8:19)

Somewhere during this thread I will publish a list of my all time favorites. There is many more to come. I would like to know from you, some of your favorites that you think are the "Best". A song that gets you up no matter where you are.

    Front Page: Love Insurance

Everybody knows that I love "Love Insurance" by Front Page with Sharon Redd on vocals. Perfect blend of all the Disco goodness you can cram into a 12" single!

Mine is an easy one... It has got to be I feel love by Donna Summer.

It`s in a league of its own as far as I`m concerned.

Bernie - I agree about Love insurance - what a fantastic song. Not only that but the sound on the Panorama 12in was fantastic !!! :icon_cool:

    Re: Absolute Best

Undoubtedly this record, video & artist changed my life forever in the Autumn of '78 when I was at that impressionable age of 13!:icon_razz: I really don't think anything has topped it since for on-the-floor ecstacy.

I agree with Kris & Paul too with their choices of 'Cocomotion' & 'I Feel Love' - they're probably my 2nd & 3rd fave disco tracks ever.

I agree with all the songs mentioned here. But I have to say
Mainline by Black Ivory and Check out the groove by Bobby Thurston would always get me going.

The Glow Of Love LP has got to be one of the best albums of all time too. Every track's a stunner IMHO. At the time I thought wow if this is the 80s bring it on, but the decade went downhill from there really!:icon_confused:
