Serena williams disqualified at the us open!!!

Did anybody check out the US OPEN this Saturday? Serena Williams played Kim Clijsters of Belgium in the Semi-Finals and got disqualified because she was supposedly at "Foot Fault", and because she "Verbally Abused" the Officials.

Check this out!!! I saw the replay and it didn't look like her foot was at fault to me, and as far as the Verbal Abuse, nobody used to "Verbally Abuse" officials worse than Jimmy Connors, or "Bratty" John McKenroe, so what was the BIG DEAL???

I admit that Serena wasn't on top of her game, and Clijsters was giving her a run for her money, but C'MON!!!

    Any comments???

Serena might have been over the top with her reaction but I have read and can believe there is a racist component to the coverage Serena and Venus receive.
I have read that the announcers take a more negative tone towards them and they are searching for a "great white hope" to knock off these exceptionally talented and beautiful sisters. Speaking of beauy, these are sexy women, especially Serena. Were talkin' goooood eatin'

Hey Paul, I'm sure you remember the 2000 US OPEN when she wore the "Imfamous Black Cat Suit"!!! LORD HAVE MERCY!!!:icon_twisted:

But you're right about the negative tones towards them. First of all, they're from South Central, LA. And: "Nothing Good Is Supposed To Come Out Of South Central"!!!

Secondly, Tennis has always been: "A White Man's Sport", just like Golf. Until Althea Gibson broke the Color Barrier back in the 50's, Blacks were only "ALLOWED" to play!!! It's because of this fact that Legends like Jimmy Connors, and John McKenroe could get away with doing what they've done to officials, and they were WWWAAAYYY over the top with their TEMPER TANTRUMS!!!

Venus and Serena need to keep this in mind while they're playing, because things are more "Smoked Screened" today, than they were back then. It's the same thing with Tiger Woods!!! They LIKE to see him win, but, they LOVE to see him lose!!!

I think if Serena would've kept her cool, she would've came from behind and won it, as she has done so in the past.

You summed it well KB. Oh and yeah, who could ever forget that sexy black cat suit. What's weird with that is Anna K. has been in some sexy outfits. Is her sexiness different from Serena's?:icon_question:
