yo what's up. pcdj and reason are kind of apples and oranges. pcdj is basically one of the professional digital dj'ing softwares. You can 'dj' with reason, but reason is a full-on electronic music production suite.
I've used reason since v1.0 came out in 2001. It's awesome. Give it a chance and you will be jammin on that thing. But without a midi controller, reason is basically frustrating. The real fun begins when you add a controller/keyboard to it.
Reason operates on a visual model of studio boxes being strung together - that's the beauty of it. So in the old days, you'd have a big old compressor and then you'd have a big sampler box, and some kind of fx processor and they'd all be on top of each other. Same idea with reason. Reason, in my opinion, is artware. software+art. it's amazing. I like it a lot more than ableton. but that's another story.
