Is that the first time that Melba's 'Pick Me Up I'll Dance' has been on CD? I so love that late-era Philly-sound track. It's one of those uber-perky tracks like Souvenirs (Voyage) or Gotta Keep Dancin' (Carrie Lucas) that never fails to cheer me up whem I'm down.:icon_razz:

I believe it is the first time it's on CD. I have seen Melba's other track, "You Stepped Into My Life" which I like, but there's something laid back and happy about "Pick Me Up..." Even better is that this version is the full John Luongo remix from the 12 inch as I just checked my vinyl and it clocks in at 7:00.

I first discovered Pick Me Up I'll Dance on the Larry Levan Live from the Paradise Garage CD about ten years ago now (maybe 8?)--so glad to have it in full now :D
