Last line of the lyrics is not the same, but have you checked out "I'm a man" by Macho (1978).

Hi all.
Ive only just found this site yesterday and joined immediately.
Ive already scored copies of so many of the 80's discos stuff that i found on the charts pages - right now i have Draculas Tango by Toto Coelo playing in my headphones.
Can i ask the first of will surely be a number of questions.
I have a chorus spinning around in my head from the era but i dont know the song. Its not a disco song but it was (from memory) popular in the era.
The chorus goes (male voice):
"im a man,
yes i am,
but i cant help a lost soul,
oh no, no, no"
Can any one help with the song title/artist.
Thanks
Glenn
