If you have to ask, should you be playing at all?

Well the night came and went. It was an amazing time we all had. The 80's night was a huge hit and it felt great to be behind the mixer again. The crowd went crazy. I played the usual 80's Rock/Pop dance stuff that was big back then and included a few sets of Club/Dance music and I still had it.
I started off with an 80's medley of 98bpm to 114bpm that I had made just to warm things up. I cut right into 1999 and looped the end of it and mixed New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle. Right there I knew it was going to be a good night. That's the first time I tried that mix.
Now here are some of the songs that went over very big.
1.Billy Idol - Mony Mony
2.Romantics - What I like About You
4.Madonna - Into the Groove
5.Bananarama - Venus
6.Rick James - Super Freak
7.Shannon - Let the Music Play
8.Dire Straits - Twisting by the Pool
9.ELO - Rock n Roll is King
10.D Train - You're the one for me
11.Culture Club - Karma Kameleon - A remix version
12.Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes - A remix version I had was well received
13.Go Go's Medley (Ultimix Version) - went very well.
14.Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax
15.B52's - Love Shack
16.Communards - Don't leave me this way
17.Breakfast Club - Right on Track
18.Kylie Minogue - loco motion
19.Pet Shop Boys - What have I done to deserve this
20.Laban - Love in Siberia
21.Planet Patrol - Cheap Thrills
22.Information Society - What's on your mind
And Some Slow Jams
1.Lionel Richie & Diana Ross - Endless Love - This one was left for the end of the night
2.Journey - Open Arms
3.Lisa Lisa - All Cried Out
4.Spandau Ballet - True
5.Chicago - You're the inspiration
6.Prince - Purple Rain
7.Bryan Adams - Heaven - Appropriately so.
And not only that, I had a projector and during my breaks and when they were eating, they were able to watch some 80's videos on a big screen and got to see the likes of,
1.Duran Duran
2.Men at Work
3.Flock of Seagulls
4.Thompson Twins
5.Peter Gabriel
6.Paula Abdul
7.Depeche Mode
