It's not Depeche Mode... and I am having such a brain fart on this.
I know this song and so will others. I want to say early 80ish.
I'll keep thinking.
I've just purchased this new 12" remix of the Kings of Tomorrow 'Finally' .. which is actually a mash-up over The Drop Out Orchestra 'Gibbon' (I assume 'Gibbon' alures in some way to Walter Gibbons? Is the track a tribute to the great man?) Anyway .. what is the electronic 80s sample used on the track? It's driving me crazy .. could it be Depeche Mode? Help someone please ..
Here's the track as featured on the Juno site:

First True Love Affair - Jimmy Ross
.. many thanks needlefingers .. you are spot on the button .. well done

.. interestingly the original Jimmy Ross track was produced by Kano, the Italian disco outfit .. the space-disco vibe is in vogue in continental Europe just now, which probably explains why this version came to be ..

thanks again
