Santa Esmeralda, Revelacion, Gigi, Hot R.S. - 4 disco versions that I know of, but there could be more. Is this the song that has been made into the most disco versions or are there songs that have been even more discoed to ecstacy?:icon_confused:
...ya gotta beat the street......
You may be quite right, SandraDee, and I think some other '60s classics may have been disco-tized (or incorporated into medleys) just as often. Some potential Motown nominees might include "Stop In The Name Of Love", "I Can't Help Myself" and "Reach Out I'll be There", all of which have at least a couple of disco versions floating out there.
Riz Ortolani's "More", originally the theme form the notorious early 60's shockumentary pioneer movie "Mondo Cane", was discotized by not only by Carol Williams but also by all sorts of orchestras c 1975-76, plus quite a number of euro acts like Toga. Still, "You Keep Me Hanging On" probably wins the price, no? Just think how many versions there are. Soiree, Roni Hill, Cassandra, David Matthews, even the Italian group Le Streghe did it as "Che Mi Succedera".
Is this about singing songs or what about instrumentals? Star Wars and Star Trek had many disco versions.
