Wow let know when you find this treasure. Sounds Like a 1978 Erotic Drum Band sound. You might want to check into those as well if you haven't already.

I could be wrong but it sounds like those Bits & Pieces bootlegs grafting different breaks from various disco tracks.
It does sound great though...very infectious indeed.
KRIS
This is most certainly not ONE song, it's a mix, and the dominant percussion part reminds me strongly of this
YouTube - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag
Actually this Song "Papa's got a brand new pig bag" by Pig Bag ist from 1982, but nevertheless I hereby call that great funky tune in mind
Very similar in style and sound to the The Bombers, could be worth checking them out... to see if that break is hiding on a Bombers track...
i heard destination at the end ....
another band to consider..is amant..
This is not Amant, Erotic Drum Band or a mix from various songs.
In fact the song is pretty similar to Destination's move on up and yeah, move on up was there starting on the mix (in the end of the youtube excerpt) on that radio party show back on 1981.
Hey, Move On Up was mixed by the DJ on the Saturday party radio show back on 1981. I was there recording these songs on a tape. Unfortunately my brother erased the rest of the song but I state: THIS A SINGER SONG, sung my a male, with female choirs, drums solos etc, very similar to songs like Move On Up (Destination), Rock It To The Top (Mantus), Showdown (Arpeggio), Dancin' Game (Soccer), Don't Give Up (Simon Orchestra) etc.
In fact I've listened several times that song back on 1979, 1980, 1981 etc.

In fact, also I hear alot of Erotic Drum Band and Amant touches.
Any idea?
HELP!!!!
This is definitely the most obscure Disco song but I believe someday some guy can know the truth beyond, hehehe
Those timbales are starting to remind me more and more of Gary's Gang. I could swear they had an album with a "live" performance that was very energetic. Having said that, it does have a lot of similarity to Amant or something that Ray Martinez may have done so don't give up on that avenue.

next time try to get a bit more of the vocal...it's usually easier to recognize a song from the vocal. And before the song faded out, I thought I heard the riff from Destination's cover of Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up". If that came from a disco, it may be a DJ's personal mix and not a commercial release.
I repeat myself: This song is pretty similar to Move On Up from Destination and Don't Give Up of Simon Orchestra.
When you listen that "riff" from Destination's Move On Up on the end you can also listen a bit of the vocals after the drums solos.
In fact, I hear a phrase such "I can tell by the way..."
??????????????????
This is starting to intrigue me!
My intuition tells me that this is Canadian style. LePage, La Greca, Freddy James, Kat Mandu, France Joli etc... If it is, then Gene Leone must recognize it. I'll ask him. Or Steve Thompson!
But before that, D.C., where did you get this from? Maybe you already told but then I've missed it.
